Who We Are and Where We Have Been
H. Erik Ramsey, APRN, BCN-EEG and and Sajeela M. Ramsey, MSOD, Ph.D-IC, BCN-EEG, CBS, NTI, OMC, are the founders of Neurofeedback Center of Virginia. Mr. Ramsey is a licensed mental health therapist, and Dr. Ramsey, while not a medical doctor or a licensed psychologist, is an Applied Behavioral Scientist and Educator. Together, they offer more than 50 years of combined professional experience working with individuals and groups to achieve lasting relaxation and stress management. They are nationally certified in EEG Biofeedback and have logged over a thousand hours in training, speaking and mentoring in today’s cutting edge Neurofeedback techniques and methodologies. Neurofeedback Center of Virginia staff members received their training from the field's leading scholars, researchers and clinicians, including Sue and Siegfried Othmer of EEG Institute, Mike Cohen, John Demos, John Finnick and Harold Burke of EEG Spectrum, Joel Lubar of Southeastern Biofeedback and Neurobehavioral Medicine, and Tom Collura of Brainmaster.
Neurofeedback Center of Virginia are members of or are affiliated with EEG Institute, EEG Spectrum International, Biofeedback Certification Institute of America, Natural Therapies Certification Board, Brain Master, Mid-Atlantic Society for Biofeedback and Behavioral Medicine, International Society for Neuronal Regulation, Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Sentient Medical and NeuroCare Systems, and the Washington Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

Instructional Training Program with Neurofeedback Clinic Component
Neurofeedback Center of Virginia provides two unique didactic trainings geared toward those who are interested in doing training in the home after completing in-office training, and for those who are considering professional entry into the field of Neurofeedback.

Track One: Home Training - For those who want to train for the long run in your own home; comprehensive instruction for understanding how to take on this endeavor, including how to decide on the right equipment for your unique situation, and how to use the equipment efficiently and safely to accomplish your training goals. Available with supervision only, and after completing in-office training.
Peak Performance Program and NeuroMeditation Courses
Whether you want to compete, play, sing, concentrate, relax or feel better, you can choose from our comprehensive menu of technologies; design your very own program based on your unique performance goals. We use industry standard technology to provide a unique format of training for clients who need to complete a course of 20 treatments in the most economical time frame. We offer the option of intensive and comprehensive Neurofeedback training that can be completed in just 10 days. Outcomes can be as effective as training over a longer period of time provided professional guidance for follow-up is completed.
Community Outreach
Neurofeedback Center of Virginia provides educational seminars and presentations for service and community organizations, partnerships with executive, school, sports, faith-based and non-profit humanitarian organizations, periodic support groups. We also offer limited volunteer services for veterans and special needs individuals on a case-by-case basis.
